Boogy Down

Note: Some of my files were lost in a recent system restore, rendering this episode invalid. My apologies for any inconveniences. I'm looking into ways of backing up my files.

During work the next day, Paris was feeling overworked and stressed out. She had been working a lot of long hours in an effort to keep up her work performance and possibly get a promotion. It was leaving her feeling drained and warn out. So she headed to the park to get a bite to eat.

Afterward she played a bit of chess with a kid who was sitting at one of the tables at the park. It was getting late, however, and they weren't able to play long before she decided it was time to go home and catch some sleep. Before going to bed, she called work to take a day off.

The next morning, Paris took care of her hygenic needs on her own home lot. It wasn't much, but it felt like a step in the right direction. A small one, perhaps, with a bush for a toilet and a traveling shower, but at least it was a step.

She was also able to procure a chess table. She was grateful to finally have something do at home. Still stressed out from work, she played for a while to get her mood back up.

Determined to make enough money to finally build her home, Paris spent the rest of the day exploring her neighborhood. It had been a while since she'd had the opportunity to do any kind of exploring. It was nice!

Feeling rested and energized, she was able to finally knuckle down and focus on her work the next day. Her attitude was far more pleasant and she was able to accomplish a lot. For one thing, she was finally able to successfully diagnose and treat a patient.

She did stay late again, but her hard work must have paid off because she got another promotion!

Paris was also invited to become a part of Partihaus. She still needed to observe humans and hadn't joined a club with the species, so she decided to go for it. She was asked to go to a party, but she was at work, so she initiated a club get together afterwards instead. Yet another step in the right direction! Partay ti-me!

When Jade Rose, Partihaus' queen, realized what Paris had in her wardrobe, she gave her a Partihaus make over... but that's for another time! In the mean time, things were starting to look up for Paris. She had gotten a second promotion, was able to meet her needs on her own lot, and became a part of a social club. She was finally starting to get somewhere with her goals.

Paris Gets A Little Time Off

Note: Some of my files were lost in a recent system restore, rendering this episode invalid. My apologies for any inconveniences. I'm looking into ways of backing up my files.

Paris was relieved when she finally got a few days off from work. She'd been working hard and having difficulties keeping up with all the physical and mental demands of the human world. How they could keep up at such a pace, she could not understand. Eager to have a little time to herself, Paris spent the first day fishing and brought in an excellent haul.

The next morning, she planted some Chyrsanthemums she'd been meaning to plant. The idea of trying gardening was exhillerating. And who knew? Maybe it would help bring in a little money. Being homeless was beginning to wear on her. Somehow, she had to pull together the funds necessary to get a home.

During her adventures, Paris had met a couple others of her race. She decided to invite them to join a club and "The Rocket Boosters" were born. The only stipulation for joining was that you had to be an alien. While Paris still intended to socialize with humans as part of her research, she was thirsting for the companionship of her own kind. The group could use the rocket, play darts and/or chess, use science objects, and work on programming. Paris was fortunate to find a place that could sponsor her group, a science museum in Windenburg which had just been built.

Paris called together the first club meeting at the museum and faced off with the other two women in a game of chess each. She made a mental note to look around for more Sixams she could invite to the group. At the moment, she only knew of two other women.

As quickly as her time off had begun, it ended. Paris realized with a start that she had work the next morning and only a few hours within which to eat and get at least a little sleep. As she ate her grilled cheese sandwich, she considered all that had happened over the past few days. The first day, she had spent fishing, but what about yesterday? And today?

So much of her time had been spent catching up with needs that seemed to fall behind when she was working. She could only hope she would be able to afford a place soon so her needs could be taken care of at home and she could focus her energies on socialization while out and about. She curled up to catch a few z's before work. She doubted she'd be able to get a full night's rest, but she might be able to get just enough to keep her going at work tomorrow.

The next day, Paris worked hard for little reward. She really needed to improve her talent with the infernal machine as well as her logic. If she could do that, she might be able to successfully diagnose a patient and get them the proper medications and possibly get a promotion so she could advance her understanding of the human anatomy.

After work, she grilled potatoes at the park before challenging a young lady who was playing chess there. She was determined to improve her skill, little by little, day by day if necessary. Her survival skills were feeling challenged, but she wasn't about to give up. She had come here to learn about the human culture and she would!

Arriving in Oasis Springs

Aja had been traveling for days. She was tired, sore, and her emotions spent. It had been a while since she'd seen any "kid missing" posters with her face prominently displayed, so when she arrived in Oasis Springs, she decided to lay low a while. Her first task was getting herself something to eat.

When Aja saw the park, she saw a lot of potential. It was quite large, had plenty of fishing holes and even a couple of bathrooms. She wasn't hungry yet, but she knew it wouldn't be long before she was, so she decided to settle in to catch some fish. Maybe she could catch something for dinner! Someone was already fishing at the spot she'd scouted out, but they were so engrossed in the job, she doubted they'd notice her. She'd just have to keep to herself.

Failing to catch anything, Aja decided to do some scavenging. Maybe she could find some berries or something she could trade for a bit of food instead.

When she took a break to use the restroom, she discovered someone had barbecued some hot dogs and snitched a plate for herself. Feeling a bit lonely, Aja decided to talk to a girl who was sitting nearby.

The other girl did not look impressed that her studies had been interrupted, however. She barely gave Aja a glance, a hard, cold one that said "go away!", before continuing her studies. No further attempts at communication were acknowledged, so Aja was at last forced to give up her pursuit.

Aja was lonely and needed a diversion. Having to constantly fend for and protect herself, she didn't have a lot of time for fun. When no one was around, she played with her guitar.

It had been a long, trying day and Aja was getting tired. She found an out of the way bench and settled in for another difficult night's sleep. This was turning out to be even more difficult then she could have ever imagined, but she was determined to stick it out.

The next day, Aja did a bit more exploring around the park before school. She hadn't intended to go, but she somehow got caught up with the local kids. During a school project, she could tell the other students knew what they were doing and decided to sit back and let them do the work; this wasn't her school and she needed to bail out as soon as she had the chance. If she stayed too long,  it would be discovered she didn't belong and someone would start asking questions she didn't want asked. She grabbed a shower at the gym and brewed about the poor grade the teacher had given her for not participating.

Aja was so disturbed about the grade and about the dangerous situation she had found herself in, she forgot to worry about what she was wearing. She found an inconspicuous corner, though, and lay down to take a nap. She was feeling exhausted and overwhelmed from every thing she had been through recently and needed a clear head to think.

On her way back to the park, Aja made another friend. After speaking with the girl for only a few minutes, she discovered she was a romantic. And she was making advances on her! Feeling uncomfortable, and thinking the local kids seemed a bit strange: if they weren't ignoring her, they were making passes at her! She decided to keep her own company for the time being.

Aja had kept an eye out all day for something she could eat. Her stomach growled at her angrily. If she didn't find something soon, she'd pass out! She noticed someone had just finished barbecuing a meal. Good eats! She dove in, while he was still standing there. He didn't seem to mind, but she became unnerved when he started talking to her. She was polite, so as to appear natural, but spoke as little as possible.

She got away as quickly as she could and headed for bed. It was getting late and she was so tired! Aja was unaware when the creepy old homeless man slept sitting beside her on the park bench.

The Chronicles of Aja Miller

Name: Aja (pronounced Asia) Miller
Aspiration: Musical Genius
Traits: Music Lover, Creative, Muser

Disclaimer: This series is based on the Runaway Teen Challenge. I am not the originator of this challenge. I intend to try the points system. I haven't played based on points before, so this will be a new experience for me. I do not necessarily hold the same principles or thoughts as the characters in this story. This is based on a story as told through The Sims 4. With that in mind, I hope you enjoy the story!

Everyday apparel, Athletic Apparel
Back Story

All of her life, Aja Miller has been in the foster care system. After being given up as an infant, Aja suffered from a birth defect. The first several years of her life were spent in hospitals. By the time she was well, she was too old for adoption. She was passed over again and again. To make matters worse, the foster homes she lived in were often abusive or had unrealistic expectations.  Tired of being treated poorly and having no hope for a future, Aja took off on her own.

One day, at a corner store, she saw her picture on a kid missing poster on the store's bulletin board. She glanced around cautiously to be sure no one was watching before snatching the paper off the bulletin board, balling it up, and tossing it in the garbage. She paid for a cheap pair of glasses with what little food she was able to afford that day.

Later, she found a neglected baseball cap on a park bench. She donned it and her disguise was complete. She was relieved... to some degree. If people couldn't see her face, they'd be less likely to recognize her and call her in. Still, Aja is determined not to go back; and so she continues to hide her face and minimizes her contact with others, while nervously hoping to appear like she belongs.

Runaway Teen Sims 3

I've decided to cancel, or at least indefinitely postpone, my Runaway Teen series I had tried to start from The Sims 3. I have an Intel Core i3-370m, 3 GB DDR3 Ram, with 320 gb hdd. In other words, the computer I currently own is not enough to meet the demand of Sims 3. I'm going to try to pinch pennies and buy a gaming computer Black Friday, but that's still 6 months from now. In the mean time, I'll continue to play Sims 4 and maybe even Sims 2. If I'm lucky, I might even be able to do videos on my channel with Sims 2. Let me know if you'd be interested in Sims 2. Hope you enjoy the rest of what my blog has to offer.

Paris Gets a Promotion

The next day began before Paris had a full night's rest. She said hello to one of the patients, asking about what kinds of music he was interested in.

At 12:30, she grabbed a sandwich and had a bit of coffee. She tapped her foot to the beat of the music that was piping into the break room.

Satisfied after break, but feeling a bit pressured for time, Paris decided to work late. She worked hard to make sure her job performance didn't suffer.

At the end of the day, Paris was pleased to receive a promotion to Orderly. Things were finally looking up!

She decided to celebrate by going out to the local bar to socialize and have a bit of fun.

Unfortunately, Paris was dismayed to discover the bar was full of people older then she. There weren't very many present who were actually close to her age.

While she was still sitting at the bar, Paris ordered a meat and cheese platter and had a couple drinks.

After dinner, Paris went to watch the entertainment.

The girl didn't play long though, so Paris grabbed a nearby guitar and started messing around with it. No sooner had she picked up the guitar, however, when the girl returned and started a comedy routine. How rude!

Paris was drunk and exhausted by the time she crawled into her tent that evening.

The next day started as rough as the previous, late. She bathed in the sink and hurried to deal with the rest of her needs. She was far too busy to think about how quickly she had fallen into the "rat race" of the sim world.

On her first day as Orderly, Paris kept herself busy learning to take vitals and analyzing samples with the equipment.

After work, Paris roasted marshmallows to alleviate her boredom and hunger before heading to bed. She couldn't help but hope for better days ahead. She couldn't seem to get ahead, but always felt like she was running behind.

A New Home

My Dearest Children,

For many years, I've hidden a secret about my past. I have done things to get where I am today. Growing up, I had an abusive father. One day, instead of going home after school, I peddled away from home. I had to do things I'm not proud of to survive, which is why I haven't said any thing about it until now. As I write this, I'm facing leaving you alone in this world without knowing more about your mother.

My first days in Meadow Glen were tough. I had to do some really disgusting things

even for me!

I knew that I would have to get food somehow. I decided my best chance would be gardening and fishing. I found an old fishing rod and was getting hungry, so I decided to go fishing.

I'd never been fishing before, but was determined to catch something! That first day, I was only able to catch a single fish; it was hardly enough for dinner.

I had to hawk some stuff I had lifted in order to have a place to sleep that first night. I didn't know any better then. Years of neglect and abuse from my father had taught me the finer points of fending for myself on the streets.

Even from the beginning, I knew I wanted more then life had so far offered me. To get this, I knew I needed an education. So I enrolled in home school online. It would allow me the ability to do what I had to to survive and still get the education I knew I needed.

The Confidential Files of Paris Henderson

There have been UFO sightings for years. The government has told us aliens aren't real, but are they? And if they are real and they did come to earth, would they be here to do what we've always feared- conquer the universe? Or might they come for another reason, say to learn about us and our customs? Would we recognize them if we saw them? Or would it be possible for them to walk among us, talk to us, and never even realize they're not even human?

Disclaimer: The story is played out in The Sims 4 and is based on the challenge The Human Experience. I do not claim aliens are real. It's a game! With that in mind, I hope you enjoy the story as we bring you further breaking news!

Name: (English) Paris Henderson, (Sixam) Kneebo Wonfourn
Location: Oasis Springs
Aspiration: Nerd Brain
Personality: Genius, bookworm, loves the outdoors

Paris is a zoologist from Sixam. Her mission? To research humans in their natural habitat, observe their behaviors and dietary selections, and report her findings back to headquarters. Sixams know very little about humans, let alone how they dress. So her outfits are a bit... unusual! (The confused attire idea courtesy teadaygames on YouTube.)

Left to Right: Everyday - Sleepwear - Swimwear - Fitness - Party - Formal

On the first day, Paris' first concern was to pull together enough resources to take care of her immediate needs. Since she wasn't able to bring any thing from home, due to the covert nature of her job, she needed to pull resources from the habitat. She began exploring the neighborhood.

When she didn't find any thing around "home base", she decided to visit the park. She noticed there were some wonderful fishing holes and decided to try her hand at fishing. She was puzzled when she came up empty. She tried again and the result was the same. What was she doing wrong?

Paris noticed someone that seemed experienced and went over to stand by him. Maybe he could give her some tips. At the very least, she could observe his actions and mimic them. The thought paid off. Soon, she had caught 2 bass fish! Her celebration was only dampened by her increasing concerns about where she was going to sleep tonight.

Paris was getting hungry. She decided to make herself something to eat. She tried her hand at hot dogs. As she ate, she wafted the smell up to her nose. Umm! Human food wasn't half as bad as she had feared. It was actually pretty good once you got past the aftertaste.

She decided it was time to try communicating with the natives. She tried to push her nerves aside about their discovering her true identity. Speaking with the creatures was just another part of her research, she told herself. She sidled up to a nearby fisherman. Before she knew it, she was talking to 3 of the creatures at once.

It was quickly growing later and later. Paris still didn't have enough money to put together a camp sight. She decided she would have to sleep on a park bench. The idea made her cringe, but she needed rest before work tomorrow. So she laid down, preparing herself to face a difficult night's sleep. Tomorrow, she must find a way to set up a camp site on her home lot.

She was too exhausted to notice when a couple of the homeless native residents sat down to sleep beside her.

The next day, Paris decided to take a shower before heading off to work. She felt grungy and wanted to start her first day clean. So she headed over to the gym. She wondered what work would be like. She had applied to the local hospital. She wanted to get the "ins and outs" of humans; know them inside out. What better way then to be a doctor?

Before starting work, she greeted a couple of her coworkers and made herself a cup of coffee. The hot liquid felt good on her frayed nerves!

Paris was put on the menial tasks:  mopping floors, making beds, and making sure patients were fed. She was also supposed to research health reports online. This she found particularly interesting. She found humans had a diverse array of health problems. This was going to be more difficult then she had thought, but she was still eager to learn!

Around 10, Paris stopped for a bite to eat. She found a pastry and tried it. It was full of sugar. It was amazing the strange foods humans were willing to put in their mouths! There was sucrose in every thing.

When she had a few minutes, she made sure to speak with some of the other staff. She wanted to see how humans treated humans. If they didn't treat each other well, how would they treat her people?

By the time she got off work, she had made a couple hundred simoleans, but it was still not enough to get the campsite she needed for home base. She decided to change her strategy and started exploring the park. She couldn't help but think about how much she needed the money!

Jackpot! Paris went from having $123 (after expenses) to having $1083! She would be able to set up camp this evening! Before heading home, however, she enjoyed dinner with a nearby woman. The woman was a mess and she discovered that she was unemployed. She wondered how the woman was getting by without a job. Why wasn't she working? How was she meeting her needs? The woman was a puzzle she was only too happy to share her meal with.

It had been a long couple of days; quite an adventure full of it's share of problems, but Paris was beginning to relax. She had conquered her problems and been rewarded with a campsite for home base. It was only a matter of time before she had a home, complete with functioning toilet and shower... and walls! She curled up in her tent to read a bit of the magazine that had come with her purchase before falling into a peaceful night's slumber.
