Hazardous Work

One thing Paris hadn't counted on when she decided to take on work at the hospital was catching the illnesses her patients had. After all, she was an alien, and therefore not prone to human illnesses... right?

Paris learned just how wrong she was at work one day. Taking stock of her symptoms, stars, dizziness, and- Paris looked at her reflection in the mirror, yes, yes, she even had whirly spots. She quickly realized she had Starry Eyes. She rubbed her temples. This could not be happening!

Well, there was nothing for it. First, she was an alien. She wasn't about to let the doctors take a closer look at HER, thereby blowing her cover and possibly subjecting herself to mortal danger. For surely they would want to study her if they discovered she wasn't human and with their primitive methods, she shuddered at the notion. No, she would just have to keep working and take care of her own health her own way.

After Paris had sufficiently recovered, she decided to start a club for aliens. It would have to be covert, of course. The club would be extremely exclusive, for aliens only. It wasn't until she'd put together a list of those she would invite that she realized she actually didn't know that many aliens. She would have to remedy that. In the mean time, she decided to pull together the two she knew personally any way.

With luck, she was able to find a spot for the club to meet. A museum in Willow Spring's had a little house in the back where, historically speaking, a gardener had lived, tending garden. The museum offered it to Paris under the condition it be used for scholarly work and that loud parties be kept off the premises. They would also need to maintain it. It had some historical value. She agreed and called her friends to spend some time together.

Paris prepared the girls some grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. After all this hiding out, she relished the idea of having other Sixams to talk to!

After lunch, the girls enjoyed a movie together.

Paris abstractedly found it bemusing the guy looked how she imagined humans would respond were they to discover she was an alien and not human.

After the movie, Paris played a game of chess with one of the girls to close out the evening. It was getting late and she would have work tomorrow. She didn't want to be out much longer.

Thankfully, she was finally able to pay for a glorified outhouse! It wasn't much, but it would do her until she could build a home. At least she had a place to see to her needs now!

After work the next day, Paris picked out a book to read, called "Lucas Dark and the Increasingly Unlikely Series of Coincidences". She was so engrossed in the book, she didn't notice when 2 sims began to argue nearby.

The club met again, raising funds to build a rocket ship. Though it would still be a while before any of them needed to return to Sixam, it would be nice to have the ship at the ready for their return. And working together would lighten the load.

The next day at work, Paris caught another virus. This time, Gas & Giggles, a plague she would not wish upon any sim! She couldn't seem to stop laughing! She was laughing so hard, it made her sides and stomach ache. How perfectly nauseating! She was sure she had gotten it from one of the patients at the hospital and, if she had, the other Sixams could too. She decided to stay home until she was well again.
